Bed Bath & Beyond Is Back: Here's What It Means for Your Coupons

After filing for bankruptcy and hosting a massive liquidation sale, Bed Bath & Beyond seemed to be gone for good, at least as far as most shoppers were concerned. But, in what we can only describe as a decorating miracle, the Salt-Lake-City-based online retailer Overstock recently announced that it has bought Bed Bath & Beyond's name and intellectual property for $21.5 million—saving the beloved housewares brand from just obsolescence in the nick of time. Now, Overstock, which has been around since 1999, has dissolved into Bed Bath & Beyond's new, improved, and online-only destination. (If you try logging onto Overstock's website, you will be immediately redirected to Bed Bath & Beyond.)

According to Jonathan Johnson, CEO of Overstock, the latest iteration of Bed Bath & Beyond will bring everything you loved about the decades-old retailer to the modern, digital age. "It will have the same great bed, bath, and kitchen items but it will also have a much bigger beyond,” he told CNN. "Since this deal was announced, we have added over 600,000 new products to the site."

We're relieved that we don't have to say goodbye to our beloved old faithful, Bed Bath & Beyond—and all of the affordably home essentials that come with its name. But, like you, we have one burning question about the new, improved BB&B: What about the coupons? After all, Bed Bath & Beyond is practically revered for its Big Blue coupons, which repeat shoppers hoarded. While Bed Bath & Beyond will have plenty of discounts available—the retailer is currently offering 25 percent off an entire purchase—the Big Blue coupons are, sadly, not making a comeback. But, if this rebrand is any indication, we will all have plenty of opportunities to save.
