Medical supply business celebrates grand opening
Black River Medical Supplies and Equipment cuts the ribbon to commemorate their opening in Kingstree.

Co-owners Vickie Mitchell and Joe Whetsell celebrated the opening of Black River Medical Supplies and Equipment with an August 16, Red Ribbon cutting ceremony. The event was hosted by the Williamsburg Hometown Chamber and included Kingstree Town Manager Richard Treme who welcomed the crowd.
Mitchell and Whetsell worked for two years to open their medical supply business. They offer equipment such as Rollators, wheelchairs, CPAP, supports and braces and much more. They accept most insurance.
Town Manger Treme spoke about the economic impact of small town businesses and added they are proud to have people who are willing to make a commitment to small towns. “We want the local people to support this business and we are grateful they are here,” said Treme.
