Rehasense UK launches accessible "user

Aug 10, 2023

Mobility equipment supplier Rehasense UK has announced the launch of its Doorstep and Broadband ramps after it offered a successful preview of the range to visitors at Naidex earlier this year.

The Doorstep ramps are made from high strength scratch resistant aluminium and consist of three models – the Micro, Mini and Adjustable. Designed to help the user overcome various thresholds such as small individual steps and other obstacles, all three models feature practical carrying handles and a ribbed anodized surface for additional grip even in wet conditions.

With a maximum load capacity of 350kg, the Doorstep ramps are available in widths of 760mm (Mini), 2x250mm (Micro) and 760mm (Adjustable).

The Broadband is available as a one-piece unit (the Spectrum) or a two-piece unit (the Defrag) and both models are lighter than many other models currently available in the UK which makes them very user-friendly when it comes to transportation. As with the Doorstep models, the Spectrum and Defrag both feature ergonomic carrying handles.

Based on a strong honeycomb design, both models feature a wide, non-slip surface and are suitable for use with most wheelchairs, scooters and walkers and are available in a range of lengths ranging from 70cm to 150cm for the Spectrum and 180cm to 300cm for the Defrag and have a maximum load capacity of 300kg.

Jordan Day, UK Sales Manager for Rehasense, commented to THIIS: “Our retailers have often commented on how often their customers ask about ramps when purchasing a wheelchair or rollator and this latest addition to our product range is another great example of how we listen to our retailers.

“We previewed the full range at Naidex this year and the response was fantastic, and we hope they will provide a valuable addition to our retailer’s range of mobility solutions.”

Rehasense also used this year’s Naidex to launch two of its latest manual wheelchairs – the Icon 125 and the Icon 30 FAF.
